the man with the patchwork heart:
the daughter’s bedroom:
- a “princess” bed: pink sheets and pink pillows.
- bookshelves with boardgames instead of books
- pink curtains that in the morning could be drew back to let in the sun
- a lampshade with the little white pony sarah had always wanted
- an earing her mother had “lost” and sarah had “found” under her pillow
the mother’s bedroom:
- a bed. grey and cold
- the wallpaper had started to peel in here
