FICTION: boxing
the man with the patchwork heart:
two men, caterers, sat in the kitchen during the slow parts of the reception. one was skinny and one was fat. they were watching boxing. it was a black man and a white man on the small tv set that had been placed on the edge of the kitchen sink (that was the only place the cord would reach). both of the caterers were cheering for the black man, and he seemed to be winning.
they would groan whenever the head caterer would walk in and demand more hors…
