the man with the patchwork heart:
after their mother died in the summer of ‘81 their father could not stand to watch the same blue wallpaper of 126 mable street peel off those grey walls. one day he took sarah and cody into the kitchen where their mother used to cook pancakes and he told them that they were moving.
